They Day They Killed Love

By Nullus

What’s this insane duplicity?
Are we allowed to love?
Are they allowed to hate?
This distortion of twisted notes,
The need to incessantly permeate!
It cuts deep!
It burns and sears!
There are no tears.
Our souls flutter like a lost dove,
This was the day they killed love!

Does anyone even listen?
Is it your choice?
Or did you abdicate?
Eros and Cupid ascending,
These villains want you to masturbate!
It’s empty!
There’s no release!
Emotion deceased.
Eyes anemic and shoddy.
This is how they took your body!

Where is comradery?
Who will be by my side?
Where are you, my brethren?
Phila! My ally! My sibling!
They defiled the brotherhood of men!
I’m alone!
It’s very dark!
This truth is stark.
Affection reserved for no other.
This is how they killed your brother!

What happened to our family?
How did it fall apart?
Will this end in slaughter?
Storge! Home! The familiar!
They spit on our traditions and honor!
We all weep.
No sensation.
Ethnos and nation.
Ripping our bonds asunder,
This is how they killed your mother!

Have you witnessed our creator?
Did they hide his essence?
Or did we turn away?
Cherished divinity ignored,
These snakes openly mock our Agape!
It’s frozen!
Everything cold!
Souls gathering mold.
Selfless love is decried as a fraud!
This is how they want to kill God!
